The Holy Land   8 Day Itinerary

ITINERARY

Day 1: Departure from USA to tel aviv, israel
Depart from USA to Holy Land from a New York are airport.

 

Day 2: Arrival to Holy Land

Arrive Ben Gurion Airport. Our representative will meet you and take you to the motorcoach. Transfer to our hotel. (D)

 

Day 3: Mt. Tabor / Nazareth / Cana

Today, we will drive to Mt. Tabor. Visit Mount Tabor with a spectacular view of upper Galilee, where Jesus transfigured in the presence of Peter, James and John, and upon which stands the Church of Transfiguration. Continue to Nazareth, visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and view the Blessed Cave, where Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary. View Mary and Joseph’s House and carpentry shop where Jesus spent 30 years of his life.  Visit Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle. Dinner and overnight in Galilee. (B,D)

 

Day 4: Sea of Galilee / Boat Ride / Capernaum / Tabgha

After breakfast, drive to Capernaum, the town of Jesus which is the center of his ministry where he performed many miracles. Visit the House of St. Peter and the ruins of the ancient Synagogue where Jesus preached. Stop at Tabgha, the Primacy of St. Peter and visit the Church of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes, and the Mt. of Beatitudes.  Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight in Galilee. Day 5: Galilee / Jordan River / Bethlehem / JERUSALEM

After breakfast visit Jordan River where Jesus was baptized. Continue to Bethlehem and visit. Church of Nativity in Bethlehem where Jesus was born. Celebrate Mass here. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)

 

Day 6: Jerusalem

After breakfast, join a full day tour of Jerusalem. Visit Mount of Olives, walk down the Road of Palm Sunday to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus endured his Agony. Continue to Kidron Valley and Mount Zion. Visit Chapel of the Ascension, from which Jesus returned to his Father. Visit the old city of Jerusalem. Follow the Stations of the Cross along the Via Dolorosa to the Holy Sepulcher. See the Christian, Armenian Quarters and the Wailing Wall. Visit  Upper Room where Jesus instituted the Eucharist & the Priesthood. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)

 

Day 7: Jerusalem (OPTIONAL: DEAD SEA & Masada)

Today is at your leisure in Jerusalem or you can join an optional full day tour to the Dead Sea and Masada (approximate cost: $80). Depart Jerusalem and descend on the winding road through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth, 400 meters below sea level. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea via Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, to Masada. Here the Zealots withstood the Roman forces for 3 years, 70-73 AD. Ascend by cable car to the summit of this mountaintop fortress, and visit Herod’s Palaces, the baths, and synagogue. After descending by cable car, enjoy the experience of a "swim" in the Dead Sea. Return to the hotel in Jerusalem for dinner. (B,D)

 

Day 8: USA    Arrive back home.

Price includes: Daily Mass; Round-trip airfare from New York area airport, airport-hotel transfers, hotel taxes, full Israeli breakfast and dinner daily, accommodations in Superior Tourist Class Hotels (3 star hotels with private bathrooms), sightseeing as indicated in itinerary including local guide and all entrance fees, tour guide / escort, deluxe motorcoach transportation, and porterage.

Price does not include: Hotel tips, or tips to waiters, drivers and escorts & guides, extra meals and drinks, all items of personal nature.

Depart New York area airport   * Price is per person, based on double occupancy. Price is based on a minimum of 30 passengers.   There are a limited number of single rooms available. Add $140 departure tax, $412 fuel surcharge and $189 for optional travel insurance.
