Lourdes & Paris   10 Day Itinerary

 

Day 1:  Depart USA
Depart from New York area airport. Enjoy dinner and breakfast served on board overnight flight.

Day 2:  Paris / Lourdes
Arrive in Paris, and then transfer to Lourdes by air where the tour guide will meet the group. Afternoon is free to relax and have lunch on your own. In afternoon, join group for a walking tour of the Shrine, including the three basilicas. View a video presentation of the story of Lourdes. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (D)

Day 3:  Lourdes
After breakfast at hotel and Mass, enjoy morning free for personal devotions. Also take the opportunity to participate in the Miraculous Baths. In the afternoon take part in optional side trip (approximate cost $35) In The Footsteps of St. Bernadette with an orientation tour of Lourdes and visit of the small village of Bartres where St. Bernadette spent a part of her childhood. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B,D)

Day 4:  Lourdes
After breakfast at hotel and Mass, enjoy morning free for personal devotions. In the afternoon feel free to take part in optional side trip (approximate cost $40) to Cauterets through the Valley of the Lavendan and the tiny village of St. Savin. The group will visit the famous parish church there. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B,D)

Day 5:  Lourdes / Avignon
Depart Lourdes after breakfast for Avignon. Dinner and overnight in Avignon. (B,D)

Day 6:  Avignon / Paray-le-Monial
After breakfast enjoy an orientation tour of Avignon, the city that served as the Second Capital of the Catholic Church during most of the 14th century. After a visit to Avignon the group will continue to Paray-le-Monial for Mass in the Visitation Chapel where the Sacred Heart appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alocoque. Dinner and overnight in Paray-le-Monial. (B,D)

Day 7:  Paray-le-Monial / Nevers
After breakfast continue to Nevers. There you will view the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette and visit the site of the convent in which she spent her last days. Balance of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Nevers. (B,D)

Day 8:  Nevers / Paris
Depart Nevers early morning for transfer by deluxe motor coach to Paris. Upon arrival visit the Rue du Bac for Mass in the Chapel where our Lady appeared to St. Catherine Laboure. Here you will also view the incorrupt remains of St. Catherine and the heart of St. Vincent de Paul. Then continue for a brief sightseeing tour of Paris including the Elysee Palace, residence of French presidents, Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, and the Place de la Concorde. Dinner and over‑night in Paris. (B,D)

Day 9:  Paris (Option to Lisieux)
After breakfast, spend the day at leisure. Take time to shop and explore the City of Light on your own. You will also be offered an optional half‑day trip to Lisieux (at additional cost). Dinner and overnight in Paris. (B,D)

Day 10:  Paris / USA
After breakfast depart for airport. Arrive USA same day. (B)
