Lourdes Paris Nevers Rome   11 Day Itinerary

 

Day 1: Depart USA
Depart on an overnight flight to France. Enjoy dinner served aboard.

Day 2: Paris / Lourdes
Arrive in Paris for transfer to Lourdes by air. Arrival into Lourdes in the afternoon. After transfer by deluxe motor coach to hotel, balance of afternoon at leisure. Before dinner, enjoy a brief orientation tour of the Basilica and orientation film on Lourdes. You are free to participate in the Candlelight Procession in the evening. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (D)

Day 3: Lourdes
After breakfast, participate in the walking tour of Lourdes where we will visit the places associated with the life of St. Bernadette. These places include the Boly Mill where St. Bernadette was born, the "Cachot" formerly used as a jail where she lived at the time of the Apparitions; the Chapel where St. Bernadette received her First Holy Communion; and the Parish Church containing the Baptismal Font where she was baptized. Once again, after dinner, please feel free to participate in the Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B,D)

Day 4: Lourdes
Today is a free day in Lourdes for private devotions and Mass in the Grotto, Way of the Cross, and confession. There will be an opportunity for those who wish to take part in the Miraculous Baths. After dinner, participate in the Candlelight Procession or simply spend private time at the "Grotto." Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B,D)

Day 5: Lourdes / Paris
After breakfast, depart for Lourdes Airport. Fly directly to Paris. Upon arrival in Paris, group will be met by tour guide and transferred to hotel. Balance of day at leisure in the "City of Lights." Dinner and overnight in Paris. (B,D)

Day 6: Paris
Enjoy breakfast at hotel and then go on a half‑day sightseeing tour of beautiful Paris. On your tour you will see the famous sights of Paris including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame de Paris, and Sacre Coeur. The group will be visiting the Rue du Bac Chapel containing the incorrupt body of St. Catherine Laboure and then around the corner to visit the church of the incorrupt body of St. Vincent de Paul. The balance of the day is at your leisure. Dinner and overnight in Paris. (B,D)

Day 7: Paris / Nevers
After breakfast, full day trip to Nevers by motor coach and view the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette, visiting the convent where she spent her last days.  Also see the Cathedral and Duke’s Palace.  Return to Paris for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Day 8: Paris / Rome
After breakfast depart to the airport for the flight to Rome. Upon arrival at the Rome Airport the group will be transferred by deluxe motor coach to the hotel. En route to the hotel Enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour from your motor coach of some of the other important sights of Rome including the Palazzo Venezia, the Circus Maximus, the Forum, the Arch of Constantine and of course the Colosseum.  Enjoy dinner at the hotel your first night in the “Eternal City.” Overnight in Rome. Day 9: Rome
The group will attend one of the highlights of the trip, the Papal Audience (if available).  After the Audience enjoy a wonderful tour of three of the four major basilicas of Rome: St. John Lateran, St. Paul Outside the Walls, and St. Mary Major. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B,D)

Day 10: Rome
Enjoy a guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica, and the world famous Vatican Museums, featuring a visit to the Sistine Chapel.   Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B,D)
 
Day 11: Rome / USA
Depart after breakfast for airport. Arrive U.S. same day. (B)
