Pilgrimage to Fatima, Lourdes and Paris
14 Day Itinerary |
DAY 1: DEPART USA
Start your
journey aboard an overnight flight. Meals will be served.
DAY 2: FATIMA
The group will
arrive in Lisbon where there will be a sightseeing tour of
Portugal’s capital city from the deluxe motorcoach. In the afternoon
depart for Fatima, one of the most famous Marian Shrines in Europe.
Later in the afternoon, visit some of the highlights of Fatima
including the Capelinha (also known as the “Chapel of the
Apparitions”) as well as the Basilica. This Basilica contains, among
other things, the tombs of two of the children of Fatima, Jacinta
and Francisco. Enjoy the remainder of the evening free and dinner at
your hotel. (D)
DAY 3: FATIMA
In the morning the group will be escorted by their
expert guide and will visit the small village of Aljustrel, home of
Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, the three children who witnessed the
Apparitions of the Blessed Mother starting in 1917. The group will
then visit Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared in August of that year
as well as the parish church where the children were baptized and
where family members were buried in the cemetery. Enjoy a free
afternoon to explore Fatima on your own, shop for religious articles
and other souvenirs, or spend time in private devotion. An optional
video presentation on the history of Fatima will be offered in the
evening at the Consolata Fathers Center. Enjoy an overnight in

DAY 4: FATIMA
Enjoy a day at leisure Fatima or if you wish take
part in an OPTIONAL side trip that will be made available to visit
and tour the famous monasteries of Batalha, Alcobaca as well as
spend some time at leisure in Nazare, a quaint fishing village with
lunch on your own. Upon returning to Fatima for the evening,
participate in the Candlelight Procession and Evening Rosary (in
season). Overnight in Fatima. (B,D)
DAY 5: FATIMA / BURGOS
Depart Fatima for Burgos. In Burgos enjoy an
orientation tour of the city. The highlight will be a visit to the
Basilica of Burgos, one of the largest and most beautiful basilicas
in Europe. Dinner and overnight in Burgos.

DAY 6: BURGOS / LOURDES
Depart Burgos for Lourdes. Enjoy the scenic ride
through the Pyrenees Mountains. Arrive in the late afternoon.
Individuals may wish to take part in the evening Candlelight
Procession. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

DAY 7: LOURDES
After breakfast, participate in the walking tour of
Lourdes where the group will visit the places associated with the
life of St. Bernadette. These include the Boly Mill where St.
Bernadette was born, the “Cachot,” formerly used as a jail where she
lived at the time of the Apparitions; the Chapel where St.
Bernadette received her First Holy Communion and the Parish Church
containing the Baptismal Font where she was baptized. Once again,
after dinner, please feel free to participate in the Candlelight
Procession. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

DAY 8: LOURDES
Today is free for private devotions and Mass in the
Grotto, Way of the Cross, and confession. There will be an
opportunity for those who wish to take part in the Miraculous Baths.
After dinner, participate in the Candlelight Procession or simply
spend private time at the “Grotto.” Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

DAY 9: LOURDES / AVIGNON
Depart Lourdes after breakfast for Avignon. Dinner
and overnight in Avignon. (B,D)
DAY 10: AVIGNON / PARAY / LE MONIAL
After breakfast enjoy an orientation tour of Avignon,
the city that served as the “Second Capital” of the Catholic Church
during most of the 14th century. After a visit to Avignon the group
will continue to Paray-le-Monial for Mass in the Visitation Chapel
where the Sacred Heart appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alocoque.
Dinner and overnight in Paray-le-Monial. (B,D)
DAY 11: PARAY LE MONIAL / NEVERS
After breakfast continue to Nevers. There you will
view the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette and visit the site of the
convent in which she spent her last days. Balance of the day at
leisure. Dinner and overnight in Nevers. (B,D)
DAY 12: NEVERS / PARIS
Depart Nevers early morning for transfer by deluxe
motorcoach to Paris. Upon arrival visit the Rue du Bac for Mass in
the Chapel where our Lady appeared to St. Catherine Laboure. Here
you will also view the incorrupt remains of St. Catherine and the
heart of St. Vincent de Paul. Then continue for a brief sightseeing
tour of Paris including the Elysee Palace, residence of French
Presidents, Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, and the Place de la
Concorde. Dinner and overnight in Paris. (B,D)
DAY 13: PARIS
After breakfast, spend the day at leisure. Take time
to shop and explore the “City of Light” on your own. You will also
be offered an optional half-day trip to Lisieux (at additional
cost). Dinner and overnight in Paris. (B,D)
DAY 14: PARIS / USA
After breakfast depart for airport. Arrive U.S.A.
