Pilgrimage to Mexico
Our Lady Of Guadalupe
5 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Depart USA
Depart from your Home City to Houston where the group will gather and depart the USA for your flight to Mexico City. You will be met at the Mexico City Airport by our English-speaking Tour Guide and escorted to your hotel where we will have a Welcome Reception. (R)
Day 2: Shrine of Guadalupe and Tulpetlac
En route to Shrine, we will visit the Plaza of the Three Cultures – where St. Juan Diego was baptized, Tulpetlac – the site of the Fifth Apparition, and the Pyramids of the sun and moon. Upon arrival at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the guide will give an introductory tour of the Basilica, where the Tilma of Juan Diego is located, and the surrounding grounds including the hilltop Chapel of Tepeyac where the history of Our Lady’s visit to Guadalupe will be related. At the Shrine, the group will join in the celebration of the Mass. Overnight In Mexico City. An OPTIONAL trip to the Famous Mexican Folklore Ballet will be made available. (B,L)
Day 2: Ocotlan and Puebla
Today we will take a trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of Ocotlan where we will celebrate Mass. In Ocotlan in 1531, the Blessed Virgin appeared to Juan Diego Bernadino. Visit the Church of San Francisco before continuing to Puebla to see Rosary Chapel, Cathedral and other points of interest in this city. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Mexico City. Dinner on your own.

Day 4: Shrine of Guadalupe: Xochimilco
Mass of the Roses in the morning at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Then the group will go to Xochimilco (:Floating Gardens") where we will have a box lunch. Before returning to the hotel the group will stop at the world famous Mexican Market. Overnight in Mexico City. (B,L)
Day 5: Mexico / USA
In accordance with flight departure time, transfer to the airport. Time permitting, possible Mass at the Shrine en route. (B)
