10 Day Itinerary |
Day 1: Depart USA
Depart on our international flight to Warsaw. Enjoy dinner & breakfast
served aboard our flight.
Day 2: Warsaw
On arrival, we will be met by our Professional Tour Escort and
transferred to our hotel. The balance of the day will be at leisure
for personal sightseeing, shopping, or relaxation. We will enjoy
dinner and an overnight in Warsaw. (D)
Day 3: Warsaw
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our sightseeing tour which
will include The Old Town, Market Square, the Barbican, Lazienki
Park & Chopin's Monument, as well as the massive Ghetto monument.
We will visit the
restored Royal
Castle. Conclude
with a visit to St.
Stanislaw Kostka
Church for Holy
Mass. Tonight, dinner
and overnight are in
Warsaw. (B,D)
Day 4: Warsaw / Niepokolonow / Plock / Czestochowa
After breakfast we depart for Niepokolonow, where St. Maximilian
Kolbe lived and worked. We continue to Plock where Jesus
appeared to St. Faustina in 1931, bringing the message of mercy
for all mankind. Return to Warsaw to celebrate Mass in the
Cathedral of St. John. Continue to Czestochowa for dinner and
overnight. (B,D)
Day 5: Czestochowa / Wadowice / Zakopane
After breakfast we see the Black Madonna in Jasna Gora
Monastery. Proceed to Wadowice, birthplace of the Holy Father,
John Paul II. Our stop will include a visit to the family house of his
Holiness, now a museum. Dinner and overnight in Zakopane.

Day 6: Zakopane / Kalwaria / Krakow
This morning, enjoy a tour of Zakopane, a resort in the scenic
Tatras. We will take a cable car to a nearby mountaintop for a
thrilling panoramic view. We then depart Zakopane for Krakow,
stopping to visit Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, famous for the "Calvary
paths" that His Holiness Pope John Paul II used to walk to and
from Wadowice, the town of his birth. We will visit the Bernardine
Monastery and Baroque Church of Our Lady of Angels. Continue
to Krakow for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 7: Krakow / Auschwitz / Krakow
Today we will become acquainted with the medieval jewel that is
Krakow. The sound of a silver trumpet belonging to the bugler
from St. Mary's Tower can be heard in Market Square. We will go
inside to admire the awesome Wit Stwosz altar. We will also visit
Wawel Hill; tour the Cathedral, Coronation Chapel & Royal
Chambers with their superb collection of Arras tapestries. In the
afternoon we will drive to the site of the infamous concentration
camp, Auschwitz, which has become synonymous with all the horrors
of the Holocaust. Visit the Martyrdom Museum, which also
includes the cell of St. Maximillian Kolbe. Tonight, dinner and
overnight are in Krakow. (B,D)
Day 8: Krakow / Wieliczka Salt Mines / Lagiewniki
After breakfast we travel to Lagiewniki, site of the Congregation of
the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, where Sr. Faustina died on Oct.
5, 1938. Also, visit the convent chapel where her body lies
beneath the miraculous image of the Divine Mercy. Proceed on to
the Wieliczka Salt Mines, an unforgettable attraction. We return to
Krakow for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 9: Krakow / Warsaw
After breakfast, we depart for Warsaw. We arrive in Warsaw with
time at leisure for last minute shopping, personal sightseeing or
relaxation. Tonight, dinner and overnight will be in Warsaw. (B,D)
Day 10: Warsaw / USA
After breakfast we will transfer to the airport for our return flight to
the USA. Arrive home the same day. (B)
