Pilgrimage to Mexico Shrine of Our Lady Of Guadalupe 6 Day Itinerary

ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Depart USA

Depart Minneapolis-St. Paul for your flight to Houston and then to Mexico City. You will be met at the Mexico City Airport by our English-speaking Tour Guide and escorted to your hotel for a Welcome Reception.  (WR)

 

Day 2: Shrine of Guadalupe and Tulpetlac

This morning we board our motorcoach for a full day of sightseeing. En route to Shrine, we will visit the Plaza of the Three Cultures – where St. Juan Diego was baptized, and Tulpetlac – the site of the Fifth Apparition. Upon arrival at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the guide will give an introductory tour of the Basilica and the surrounding grounds. Here, the group will join in the celebration of the Mass. We will stop for a visit to the world famous Pyramids of the Sun and Moon on our return trip. Overnight In Mexico City. (B,L)

 

Day 3: San Miguel del Milagro / Ocotlan / Puebla

This morning the group will depart Mexico City for Puebla. Mass at San Miguel del Milagro, site of the miraculous apparitions of St. Michael the Archangel to Diego Lazaro in 1631, and visit the well of curative waters there. Continue to Ocotlan, (place of the burning pine) where an apparition of Our Lady of Ocotlan occurred to Juan Diego Bernardino in 1541, hidden in the heart of a burnt ocote pine tree. Lunch (on your own) in this beautiful little city with its wide avenues and picturesque architecture. We will also visit the Church of San Francisco. Arrival to Puebla in late afternoon for overnight. (B,D)

 

Day 4: PUEBLA / STA. TONAZINTLA / CHOLULA / MEXICO CITY

After morning Mass at Rosary Chapel there will be a sightseeing tour of the city of Puebla. Lunch in town on your own and visit to Sta. Maria Tonazintla and Cholula (city of 365 churches) en route back to Mexico City. Dinner and overnight in Mexico City. (B,D)

 

Day 5: LOS REMEDIOS / LOMAS / CHAPULTEPEC PARK / MUSEUM

Mass in the morning at Los Remedios followed by a ride through Lomas residential area and Chapultepec Park. Visit to the world famous Museum of Anthropology. Farewell visit to the Shrine in the afternoon. Farewell Dinner and overnight in Mexico City. (B,D)

 

Day 6: Mexico / USA

We bid farewell to Mexico City as we depart for our morning flight home. (B)
